My brother and I are thrilled the Tampa was found because our grand uncle, Charles Emmitt Galvin, was lost in its sinking. We owe our lives to the fact that our grandfather, William Tyrrell Galvin, served in the ship but left it a month before it was sunk, taking his older brother and his friends and former shipmates with it.
