About this spot
Dos Ojos (Two Eyes) is the most popular cenote dive in Quintana Roo. The cavern system spans 87km mapped, with crystal-clear water at 24-25°C and visibility often 50m+. The recreational "Barbie Line" and "Bat Cave Line" can be cavern-dived with a normal Open Water — there's always natural light visible — but full cave penetration requires cave certification. The halocline (fresh-on-salt-water boundary) creates a beautiful shimmering effect at 10-12m depth. Year-round dive.
