About this spot

Tanjung Tampo is a dive point located in Indonesia that offers year-round diving potential. The site has generated community interest, with three videos documenting local conditions and marine life. Divers planning visits should monitor current coral health status, as the site is flagged for coral bleaching watch—a useful indicator for timing trips and managing expectations about reef conditions. The site operates outside a marine protected area, giving it different regulatory status than some nearby Indonesian dive destinations. This means access is straightforward without special permits, though local conditions and weather patterns typical to Indonesian waters remain key factors for any trip. With an active community of divers sharing footage, Tanjung Tampo benefits from real-time insight into what you'll encounter. Check the most recent community videos before your dive to get current visibility and marine activity reports. Indonesia's equatorial waters support rich biodiversity, and this site's year-round accessibility makes it a reliable option for planning around your schedule rather than chasing seasonal windows. Plan to connect with local dive operators familiar with Tanjung Tampo's specific conditions, tides, and entry points. Water conditions in Indonesian dive sites can shift with monsoons and local currents, so day-of briefings from guides with site experience are valuable.

  • I will take a flight tomorrow from bali to Labuan Bajo, I am on a budget and prefer to spend more money to do more dives than spend more for transportation flights etc so I opted for Komodo but I will always have Raja Ampat in the back of my mind knowing I won't be disappointed

  • Another epic adventure with you, dear Sam! Reaching Wayag is something no one can stay indifferent to — it's hands down the most breathtaking and remote place I’ve seen in all my expeditions across Indonesia. Our next expedition to Wayag aboard Jakare is set for April 2026 — only 4 spots left! And let’s not compare Misool and Wayag… they’re both must-sees, each in their own magical way. If you enj

  • Hopefully Raja Ampat remains a hidden gem and will be spared forever from mass tourims. I saw in Maldives how this affects the ecosystem where careless tourists walk on the coral canopy, break off the corals with their fins, touch and collect everything and 20 speedboats chase manta rays to drop of 200 tourists in life jackets. Seeing you diving with your arms crossed I know you are a professiona
