About this spot

Bomba Atoll sits in Indonesia's vast archipelago, offering dive access throughout the year. The site draws consistent interest from the diving community, with recent video documentation and species observation data available. Coral health is currently under watch status, making it an important site for monitoring reef conditions in the region. The atoll structure provides typical Indonesian diving opportunities. Local conditions and site layout are best confirmed with current dive operators familiar with Bomba, as water parameters and depth profiles vary seasonally. The presence of community-generated content suggests the spot has established visitor traffic. Divers heading to Bomba should connect with local operators before arrival to confirm current conditions, seasonal changes, and any access guidelines. Indonesia's dive season patterns hold true across most atolls, though year-round access means planning can be flexible. The site's coral watch status makes it valuable for divers interested in reef health and conservation.

  • I was snorkeling in the Togean islands 30 something years ago. Very few places to stay and almost no foreigners. What a place.

  • Finally someone posted about Togean Islands. I was there in 2019, solo traveling. One of the best experienced in my life. Culture wise, untouched scenery and the corals and wildlife just feels like another world. Im still daydreaming about this experience.

  • I was on this shark dive in Fiji. The guy who almost lost his head is one of shark wranglers. They are the ones who feed the sharks, or prod them away with metal poles. They are the local Fijians. The customers are in a line behind a nice barrier of coral. You can actually see this group in the video as well. I was behind this barrier, stuck my head out to take a picture, which a bull shark spotte
