About this spot

Is Figus offers reliable surf conditions throughout the year, making it accessible to visiting surfers regardless of season. The break sits outside any marine protected area, which means fewer regulatory constraints on access and use. Local conditions support regular swell, though specifics on wave height, bottom composition, and precise break type vary with seasonal swells and wind direction. The spot draws a mix of local and visiting surfers. Community engagement is active—three video resources document conditions and technique at Is Figus, providing useful reference for planning sessions. Eight species observations have been logged in the area, indicating a living marine ecosystem worth respecting during your visit. Access and logistics depend on the nearest town and current road conditions; check local information before travel. Water temperature and visibility shift seasonally across the Italian coast, so pack a wetsuit appropriate to the time of year. The absence of MPA status means standard beach access rules apply—respect private property and follow local courtesies with residents and other water users.

  • Rob Machado has the best popup I've ever seen. Not only is it incredibly fast, but it's like his lower body is on a hinge and it just swings into position. He must have long arms or something to be able to do that. He's so incredibly fluid.
