About this spot

Panther wreck is a dive destination in United States waters open to exploration year-round. The site attracts divers interested in wreck diving and artificial reef habitat. With three community-contributed videos available, the site has documented diver activity and growing interest from the broader dive community. The wreck provides opportunities to explore a submerged vessel structure. Year-round access means planning is flexible—conditions may vary by season and local weather patterns. The site sits outside a marine protected area, allowing standard recreational diving access. Divers interested in wreck exploration should research current conditions and consult local dive operators familiar with the site before planning trips. Video documentation from other divers offers insight into what to expect and how the wreck appears at depth. Community resources and existing dive logs are valuable references for trip planning. Panther wreck appeals to divers with wreck experience and those building skills in overhead environments. Check local regulations and weather windows before booking, as access and conditions depend on seasonal factors and sea state.

  • What is the lift capacity of this system? Is there a way to manually inflate/deflate the buoyancy control system in the event of an electronics failure or battery depletion?

  • At least the walk from your car to the water will be a little lighter. But that's about it, in my eyes. A new thing that does nothing new but requires another certificate from the other side of the planet. Then again, I never was a trailblazer, myself.

  • Great dive. I did it about 3 years ago. Looks like you used Rainbow Reef, how did you like them as an operator? Also looks like you used Dive Rite XT fins, do you like them?
