About this spot

Boonsung Wreck sits in Thai waters as an accessible dive destination for divers seeking wreck exploration. The site draws interest from the local dive community, with 12 species observations recorded and three community videos documenting the underwater environment. Year-round diving means you can plan a trip on your schedule, though conditions vary seasonally across Thailand's regions. The wreck itself offers structure for marine life to colonize. Tropical reefs in Thailand host diverse fish populations, crustaceans, and other organisms that shelter in and around wrecks. Documentation from other divers provides insight into what species you might encounter, though specific details about the wreck's depth, size, or visibility depend on current conditions and your location relative to it. Thailand's dive industry is mature and widely available. Many operators run wreck trips in different regions. Before booking, confirm the specific location and current conditions with local guides who know seasonal patterns, currents, and weather windows. Water temperature and visibility shift with monsoons and tidal cycles, so timing matters for your experience.

  • Very impressive dive spot. Not only for the abundance of marine life bit the honeycomb/leopard morays make this spot special. Good vis, looks like mild currents and relatively shallow for a Thai wreck dive. Would be a brilliant spot for a nitrox dive. EANx32 would give you an hour in this fantastic location. Thank you for this clip.
