About this spot
Maafushi has developed in recent years as a budget-friendly Maldives base. Wind season Dec-May brings 15-25 knot easterlies; lagoon flat at the back of the reef provides a beginner-to-intermediate playground. One school (Maldives Kitesurfing) operates from the public beach. Combine with reef dives nearby.
