About this spot

Post I Jetty sits in Indonesian waters as an accessible dive destination with year-round potential. The site draws divers interested in tropical marine life, with 12 species observations documented by the diving community. Local divers have contributed three videos showing conditions and encounters. The jetty structure creates natural habitat zones typical of Indo-Pacific dive sites. Underwater topography formed around the jetty provides shelter and feeding grounds for reef fish and other marine species. Water conditions vary seasonally, so planning around local weather patterns improves visibility and comfort. Coral health monitoring shows bleaching warnings in the region. This reflects broader Indo-Pacific reef stress but doesn't eliminate the dive experience. Many jetty systems maintain resilient pockets of growth and support healthy fish populations despite environmental pressures. Access is straightforward from nearby Indonesian ports. The site operates outside Marine Protected Areas, meaning standard recreational diving rules apply. Check local dive operator guidance for current conditions, seasonality tips, and any temporary closures before planning your trip.
