About this spot

ผาป่ะหล่อง sits in Thailand's dive portfolio as an accessible site open to exploration throughout the year. The location has drawn enough interest to generate 12 species observations from divers and marine researchers, making it a reliable spot for encountering local marine life. Three community-contributed videos document conditions and encounters, giving new divers a preview of what to expect underwater. The site operates outside a marine protected area, which means fewer restrictions on access and dive operations. This open status has allowed steady diver traffic and the accumulation of field data from multiple visitors. The species observations logged here suggest consistent marine activity across different seasons. Current coral health monitoring shows an alert-level status, indicating stress on reef structures at this location. This makes the site particularly valuable for divers interested in understanding coral resilience and reef dynamics in Thai waters. Community video documentation provides real-time insight into site conditions and seasonal variations. Divers planning a visit should check with local operators for current water conditions, depth, and difficulty ratings, as detailed specifications for this site remain limited in publicly available sources.

  • I did exactly the same what you did like 1.5 weeks ago, had 2 dives with BB Divers, one of them to the HTMS Chang and my rating is a lot worse and also because of many points you already listed. The variability of fish besides HTMS Chang was very poor compared to other dive places all over the world, the visibility was extremely poor and our first dive was just very boring with nothing to see.
