About this spot

My Reef is an Indonesian dive destination accessible throughout the year. The site has not been designated as a marine protected area, though coral bleaching is being monitored. Twelve species observations have been recorded at the location, providing divers with opportunities to encounter local marine life. Three community-contributed videos document conditions and wildlife at the reef. Divers planning a visit should note that specific depth, difficulty, visibility, and water temperature data are not currently available. It's worth checking recent community video content before booking to assess current conditions and what marine life is active. The year-round accessibility makes this a flexible option for those planning Indonesian dive trips. Because My Reef sits outside a marine protected area, regulations may differ from formal conservation zones. Local operators and dive shops can clarify current access requirements and any seasonal considerations. The active species documentation suggests regular diver traffic and ongoing interest in the site's ecology.

  • Another epic adventure with you, dear Sam! Reaching Wayag is something no one can stay indifferent to — it's hands down the most breathtaking and remote place I’ve seen in all my expeditions across Indonesia. Our next expedition to Wayag aboard Jakare is set for April 2026 — only 4 spots left! And let’s not compare Misool and Wayag… they’re both must-sees, each in their own magical way. If you enj

  • Hopefully Raja Ampat remains a hidden gem and will be spared forever from mass tourims. I saw in Maldives how this affects the ecosystem where careless tourists walk on the coral canopy, break off the corals with their fins, touch and collect everything and 20 speedboats chase manta rays to drop of 200 tourists in life jackets. Seeing you diving with your arms crossed I know you are a professiona

  • Beautiful. I live in Maluku with my Indonesian wife. I can attest to the fact that this Eastern region of Indonesia is a hidden gem with its diving areas, historic locations being the original Spice Islands the world was looking for 500 years ago. Forget Bali, this area is the true Indonesia in all its beauty.❤
