About this spot

Les Brisés sits within the Sanctuaire Pelagos, one of the Mediterranean's most significant protected marine areas. Located near Cap Taillat in the Draguignan arrondissement of France, this site benefits from strict conservation measures that support healthy marine ecosystems. The sanctuary designation means the area is managed to protect pelagic species and their habitats, making it a meaningful dive destination for those interested in pristine Mediterranean conditions. The site draws divers year-round, with consistent opportunity to explore the underwater environment. Community divers have documented 12 recorded species observations at Les Brisés, providing a solid baseline for understanding what marine life inhabits the area. Three community videos are available, giving potential visitors real footage of conditions and fauna they might encounter. Diving in a protected sanctuary carries responsibility. Divers should respect all local regulations and MPA guidelines to ensure the site remains healthy for future visits. The Sanctuaire Pelagos exists to safeguard migratory marine mammals and important fish populations, so responsible diving practices are essential. Check current conditions and any access restrictions before planning your trip, as protected areas sometimes have specific rules or seasonal closures.

  • In 1983, without the benefit of modern equipment and with no fanfare, my cousin dived to the bottom of a 132 metres lake, 6 metres deeper than this record. We're still waiting for him to come back up.

Faites Entrer l'Accusé : Un couple presque parfait
