About this spot

Les Baillantes Tortues sits in the Aire d'adhésion du Parc national de Guadeloupe, a marine protected area that shields the site's coral ecosystems from heavy pressure. The name hints at turtle encounters, a draw for divers seeking Caribbean marine life in pristine conditions. The site benefits from strict conservation rules that keep coral bleaching stress low, making it a stable destination across seasons. Divers visit year-round, though specific seasonal conditions remain undocumented in standard sources. The protected status means you'll need to respect park regulations before entering the water. Twelve recorded species observations suggest healthy biodiversity, from reef fish to larger pelagics typical of Guadeloupe's waters. Community footage from three documented dives shows the site attracts underwater photographers and naturalists. Access requires awareness of local entry permits and park guidelines. The site's designation within a national park framework signals that environmental stewardship is a core part of the dive experience here.
